Friends of ANCHOR is recruiting for two positions within the charity. Read on for details and information on how to apply. 

Fundraising Coordinator - Permanent [full time]

This is a pivotal role designed to support the fundraising function of Friends of ANCHOR. This opening comes at an exciting time for the charity as we prepare for the opening of The ANCHOR Centre in 2023. 

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day fundraising and administrative support, so they will have excellent communication skills for building rapport with fundraisers, volunteers and suppliers.

We're a small and enthusiastic team, so we're looking for someone who is motivated and eager to learn. Our new team member should be a strong and articulate writer, meticulously organised and someone who takes pride in all aspects of their work.

For this post, the main responsibilities will include supporting fundraisers, providing crucial event and admin support across our calendar of events, managing our successful merchandise lines, and assisting with our communications strategy.

Lead therapist - Permanent [full time]

Due to growth in our service provision, this is a new role that will be responsible for the management and operation of our much-loved wellbeing services. Our new team member should have the skills and experience required to support and manage a small team of direct reports, while also providing a complimentary therapy/therapies for patients. 

We are looking for someone with a HND in complementary therapies/HND in beauty or massage therap or equivalent, who is certified by a recognised teaching association.

We'll need someone with compassion, patience and warmth, who has the aptitude to represent Friends of ANCHOR around the hospital. 

Our long-standing partnership with the NHS makes a meaningful difference in the lives of people going through treatment for an oncology or haematology diagnosis. This role is a vital part of that support for patients and we look forward to welcoming the right person to the team.

Experience and knowledge of working in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
