A service for island patients and those living further afield

Friends of ANCHOR is working alongside NHS Grampian to provide an accommodation and transport service for cancer patients from Orkney, Shetland and those further afield when they are in Aberdeen for treatment at ARI.

This is a temporary arrangement whilst Clan Haven is closed as they prepare their accommodation for re-opening in the safest way possible, covering every precaution for COVID-19.

Until Clan Haven re-opens, Friends of ANCHOR and NHSG-funded 'Home from Home’ service hopes to bring as much comfort and ease during patient stays. The one-bedroom, serviced apartments have fully equipped kitchens, free WiFi and king size beds. The complimentary transport service includes ferry terminal/airport picks ups and return travel for all ARI appointments. The drivers for the service are all members of our wellbeing team.

If you or a member of your family require this service, please download our information leaflet or get in touch with us to book in for the service.
