Ride the North

Ride the North is a non-competetive cycling event open to all abilities. Starting and ending at the spectacular Glamis Castle, the route takes you through the scenic landscapes of Angus, journeying up glorius hills and glens. Riders can choose between a distance of 150km and 110km. 

There is a real community spirit weaved throughout the event and the last few years has brought glorius sunshine! Last year we had 19 people take on the distance for Friends of ANCHOR, making their impact on improving cancer care here in the North-east. 

We have charity spaces available for this year's event so, if you'd like to hop on the saddle for Friends of ANCHOR with friends, colleagues or maybe even solo, get in touch today. 

Every penny counts

All admin costs are fully funded by Balmoral Group

We are in the unique position that every penny of your pounds raised goes directly to the cause. No costs deducted for the fundraising team salaries. Nor for any administration costs. Neither is there a percentage taken from your donation for the running costs involved in operating the fundraising office.

Since the charity was founded in 1997, every penny of these running and administration costs have been fully covered by Balmoral Group. With all these expenses taken care of, your money is freed up to make a direct difference in the lives of  cancer and haematology patients throughout the North-east of Scotland.
