Our range of wellbeing provisions and packs is freely available to any ANCHOR patient.
To make a request for an item listed on this page, please speak to our wellbeing team using the contact details below, or one of our Friends of ANCHOR ward assistants within the ANCHOR Unit (look out for the green polo shirts). We can post your provisions to you too - simply email us with your name, address, the items you would like and the name of your Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
Patient packs
Inpatient care packs filled with items to help make the stay in hospital as comfortable as possible, including
- luxury eye mask
- relaxing sleep spray
- calming herbal teas
- convenient handheld fan
- the welcome distraction of an activity book
Clinic C care packs filled with items that have been hand-selected by the women’s services team to encourage you to take good care of yourselves post-breast surgery. The pack includes;
- soothing lip balm
- natural deodorant
- hydrating face and foot masks
- mindful colouring book and pencils
Chemo care packs filled with items to help ease the side effects of treamtment. Includes;
- personal tissue pack
- gentle moisturiser
- anti-sickness aids
- comfortable buff
- digital thermometer
- mindful colouring book and pencils
Anti Sickness Aids
- Gin Gins (an all-natural ginger sweet)
- sea bands
Hair and Scalp Care
- Soothing conditioner to nourish a dry scalp
- Wig Care Packs to keep your wig or hair piece looking and feeling its best.
- One free head covering gifted to those facing hair loss
Paxman scalp care packs
Available if you have opted for scalp cooling to help retain your hair during chemotherapy.
The pack contains:
- A blanket
- Tangle Teezer/comb
- Soft fabric headband
- Conditioner
- Handy tote bag to carry your care pack to and from treatment
Medical aids
There are portable DVD players and a vast selection of DVDs available for your viewing pleasure during your stay.
